The Founder
LYUBENOV CONSULTING LTD. was found in 2018 by Dipl. Eng. Venelin Lyubenov, former co-owner and head engineer of “VVD Consult” – Sofia. After graduating at University of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Sofia in 1974 as railway engineer, Mr. Lyubenov began his structural design carrier at one of the biggest transport design institutes in Bulgaria – Transproject – Sofia. In the next several years from ordinary designer he progressed to a designers’ team leader and main designer. In 2000 he left Transproject and joined Parsons Brinkerhoff for one year as Consultant for the Preliminary Design of Plovdiv – Svilengrad high speed railway Project. In 2001 he joined Rutex as Designer for the Technical Design of large structures in Lot 3 of Trakia Motorway.
One and a half year later he was employed as Deputy Team Leader in a consortium formed from Scott Wilson, Iberinsa and Flint & Neil Partnership for the Design of Danube Bridge 2 (Vidin – Calafat) for three years. Meanwhile, at the end of 2004 Eng. Lyubenov together with his colleges from “Transproject” : Eng. Vladimir Dinkov and Eng. Dimitrij Petkov, established VVD Consult Ltd. The company developed the Technical Design of all large structures of the Danube Bridge 2 infrastructure. Later in the years VVD Consult took part practically in almost all large railway projects in Bulgaria. In 2016 Eng. Venelin Lyubenov, supported by Eng. Alexander Savov prepared the series pre-stressed reinforced concrete beams called “VVD” for railway bridges and viaducts.

Since founding LYUBENOV CONSULTING LTD. Eng. Lyubenov gathered ambitious, responsible and creative team of engineers so we can offer high quality projects and design solutions.
Each member of the team has graduated at University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in the specialty “Transport Construction“, specialization „Тransport facilities“.
We have significant experience in designing various transport facilities such as railway and road bridges, overpasses and underpasses, retaining walls, culverts, noise barriers etc. We also have experience in rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing bridges on the national railway and road network.
Our professionalism and understanding of the construction process makes a job easier for all participants in the project. We strive to offer the best and most cost-effective solutions for the specific object, depending on its specific conditions and requirements.
